Dear Community Organization,
We would like to introduce you to, www.studentvolunteerlink.com; a website that was developed by students, for students as a resource for our local community. Student Volunteer LINK (SVL) is a non-profit website and free service that connects local student volunteers with community service opportunities in Branford and surrounding areas.
To achieve our mission of increasing youth volunteerism, we are reaching out to other service minded organizations to create a relationship that can serve the needs of local youth. Our vision is to create a resource for students and the community which entails a great amount of work, some of which we have already accomplished. With grant awards from Youth Venture/Youth Service America and DoSomething.org, we were able to create a website, send press packets to local organizations to sign up for our services, enlist youth volunteers and create a partnership with Branford High School.
Student Volunteer LINK recognizes the importance of youth as resources and their ability to have great impact in our community by connecting students to community organizations/ non-profits who need help. Your organization can be instrumental in reaching our goals by helping us locate community organizations that can benefit from our resources.
Because, SVL is a new organization, we are always looking for new ideas and information to highlight youth and their involvement with our community and we welcome your ideas and comments that would benefit Branford youth.
