Available Volunteer Projects

Administrative Support

Assist with data entry, prepare mailings, answer phones, and support administrative staff.

Advocacy

Help inform citizens and community leaders about current issues

that are affecting Long Island Sound and its watershed.

Beach Clean-Ups

Coordinate or participate in litter cleanup events held around the

state of Connecticut throughout the year including International

Coastal Cleanup

(held every September at various beaches in CT).

News Clipping

Help Save the Sound keep track of local issues and events

which may potentially affect the Sound. Follow your local

news media by keeping articles from regional newspapers

and tracking local television broadcasts.

Special Events

A wide variety of assistance is needed for planning and carrying out

special events. Events include wine tastings, cocktail parties,

Earth Day events, lectures, and conferences.
