Students Benefit

SVL’s Volunteer Opportunities Guide will enable students to easily find community service opportunities online and match student interests with community organizations who need help. SVL believes that if students had an easier way to locate volunteer opportunities they would volunteer more of their time. Students can fulfill personal goals and school requirements by connecting to the needs of the local community by using the SVL services. SVL will take an active role in ensuring the success of student volunteers by logging volunteer hours, posting national community service information and promoting student volunteerism in the community. Also, Student Volunteers registered with SVL will be recognized with volunteer awards and celebrated for their time, talent and knowledge to better the community. Also, the Volunteer Opportunities Guide will highlight student community service projects and help them recruit support from other students and the community.
